HP D2660 Inkjet printer - Cheapest Color inkjet printer in town

Never own a printer at home before and wonder what printer is the cheapest yet reliable? We will recommend you to try out the D2600 inkjet series by HP. The current model D2660 is selling at RM 100.00 and it is almost like B.A.T.A (Buy and Throw Away) for end user. The printer offer you Mono printing at 600dpi and color printing at 4,800 dpi. The printing speed is not very impressive at the rate of 28ppm for black and 21 ppm for color but still, it's only RM 100!

The concern is more on the cost of the ink as HP Consumables are well known for being pricey. D2660 is using Ink cartridge number 60 (Black and Tri-color) which is selling at RM 46 and RM 55 respectively. The normal yield for 60 is 200 pages for black and 190 pages for Tri-color. Should you need to print more at a more effective cost you may choose the XL ink which is at RM 90 for black and RM 100 for Color. The yield is at 600 pages and 550 pages which mean you get 2.5 times for the print out.

We would like to remind you that this is a very basic printer and the print out for color is really not that impressive. Anyways it is still very reliable in printing document and if you are buying a printer for leisure printing it is still a good choice to try out before you try out higher end printer.
